Jacob 2:16

16  O that he would rid you from this iniquity and abomination. And, O that ye would listen unto the word of his commands, and let not this pride of your hearts destroy your souls!

How do you keep the pride of the heart from destroying the soul?

John 1:6-10

6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of the Light.

9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

Today I find it interesting that the true Light–or the light of Christ–lights every man that comes into the world. To me, this means that all of us, at some point, have the ability to know right and wrong. This is probably dependent on our realm of knowledge and experience, but I like that it points out that every man that has been born has some glimmer of this light. It seems that philosophical and political trends that want make all decisions subjective would here find a stopping point. If all people can know right and wrong, true good motives are possible to define, and ethical decisions can be made as we seek both the inner light of humanity that He gave us and the guidance of the Holy Ghost in the teachings of the gospel.

2 Nephi 25:26

And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins.

Thus, we have revived this blog for our children. Here we can write some of our spiritual experiences so they can read them in the future.
